Byte Back e-cycling is e-z

Think before you throw away electronics!

Non-profits and private businesses disassemble electronic equipment and use old components to assemble refurbished working systems, separate reusable parts for resale or recycle unusable components as scrap metal.

e-cycling:

  • Creates jobs which stimulate economic growth.
  • Reduces materials being landfilled.
  • Conserves natural resources as the life of a product is extended.
  • Is the right thing to do for the environment.

e-cycling is e-z in Illinois

Residents can recycle electronics through a growing network of public and private permanent drop off locations, or a series of one-day collection events sponsored by regional or county solid waste agencies. Additionally, some manufacturers offer mail back programs. Click to find e-cycling centers near you!
